This page explains how to plot a polar equation in Graphing Calculator 3D.
Steps:
- Select "2D" from the graph dropdown list.
- Change the coordinates option from "Cartesian" to "Polar" in the dropdown list.
- Type in a polar equation using variables r and θ.
- To insert θ press Ctrl+1
- Alternatively, click on KeyPad tab then click on θ button.
Examples:
Here are some explicit and implicit polar equations you can type in the program:
- r=2θ+1
- θ=r/2
- r^2+θ^2=sin(r+θ)
- r<1+θ
Optional Steps:
- Click on "Graph" tab then click on "Override Default Range" to limit the range of r and θ values.
